Treks in Ladakh

61 records across 2 districts

Ladakh's trekking record is unusually well GPS-mapped by international standards, but our own coverage here is still thin — most of what we hold reflects a handful of well-known valleys rather than the wider trans-Himalayan network.

Commercial and permit status move together more tightly here than elsewhere: several routes with formal commercial operations have had that status revoked or suspended for specific peaks or seasons, most visibly around Stok Kangri.

Foreign nationals typically require an Inner Line Permit for border-adjacent valleys; the list of open valleys has changed multiple times in recent years and our records may lag the current administrative position.

Mostly shepherd routes and connecting passes nobody sells. If you have walked one, you are probably the best source that exists.
